Lip blush is a form of semi-permanent make-up that can enhance the color of your lips, giving the appearance of a lip tint. It can also correct symmetry, add definition & fullness. Our lips lose color & become thinner as we age. Lip blush can bring back that vibrancy.

Using a rotary machine and a fine needle, pigment is implanted onto the lips. Results are customized for every client.

*First session only. Touch-ups are only done on Fridays & are booked directly with Keysi

    FAQs

    What is Lip Blush?

Lip blush is a form of semi-permanent make-up that can enhance the color of your lips, giving the appearance of a lip tint. It can also correct symmetry, add definition & fullness. Our lips lose color & become thinner as we age. Lip blush can bring back that vibrancy.

What if I have fillers? Can it be done?

Yes, absolutely! Lip fillers and lip blush actually compliment each other beautifully. It does not interfere with the treatment.

A 4-week waiting period is required in between your filler appointment and lip blush.

    Does Lip Blush hurt?

Clients can experience some slight discomfort but describe it to be tolerable. A topical numbing cream will be applied throughout the procedure.

The actual tattooing part lasts about an hour.

    Will this trigger cold sores?

This treatment can trigger cold sores if you are a carrier of the herpes simplex virus.

If you have had any cold sores in the past, or know you are a carrier, to prevent a flare up it is recommended to take an antiviral medication such as Valtrex. Your doctor will advise when to take it and for how long. Normally clients will take it for a few days prior, the day of, and a few days post treatment.

How long does Lip Blush take to heal?

There is essentially no downtime with this procedure. Clients will experience swelling for the first couple of hours post-treatment.

Your lips should be healed 5-10 days after your treatment. During this time it is crucial you strictly adhere to our aftercare instructions for optimal results!

Do I need more than one session?

Every client is different. It all depends on multiple factors (i.e. skin type, lifestyle, if medications are taken, skincare routine) and more importantly, the client's goals.

In some cases, clients do require more than one session. We highly recommend a touch-up session. It is necessary in some cases.

Whether it’s because the color faded more than expected (due to factors outside of our control) if we need to build the color, or you just want more adjustments made to the shape/color.

    How long does it last?

It can typically last approximately 2-3 years before a touch-up is needed to keep the look fresh. How often you need a touch-up all depends on how you treat the area as well as your skin, health, lifestyle, sun exposure, and skincare routine.

How do you determine which shape is right for me?

Our goal is to enhance your lips by creating a shape based on what you already have that will flatter your facial features.

Each lip blush treatment is custom-tailored to that client. We do not copy and paste since everyone has unique facial features. We use multiple methods to determine which shape will better suite your facial structure.
